3 ways a Product Business can grow on social media
If you own a business that sells products, it probably feels like all you can do on social media is tell your audience to BUY! BUY! BUY!
I’m here to tell ya...Your audience does NOT want to be sold something every time they see your posts. The nature of social media is to BE SOCIAL.
So how can you do that and generate sales at the same time without paying for ads?
Here are 3 ways to make your audience aware of your products with out sounding ‘salesy’ (yeah, that’s a word...).
1. Photos! Well, that is a no-brainer.
Make sure your photos are well lit, clearly focused and the background is not distracting.
PRO TIP: Hire a professional photographer.
You can take it a step further by showcasing products in such ways that a consumer can SEE themselves with that product in their life.
In the caption of your post don’t forget to tell your audience WHY your product will SOLVE THEIR PROBLEM. (Refer to your Buyer Persona or Ideal Client Avatar). Explain how your product will make them healthier, save them time, or make them feel like they can’t live with out your product.
2. Customer Testimonials and Reviews
Give your audience proof that your product did all the above or MORE.
According to BrightLocal Study in 2020, 79% of consumers say they trust online reviews AS MUCH as they trust personal referrals!!!

Google My Business is a FREE app that you can use to promote, share and make your business accessible to your audience. Think about it... if your customers or clients are making the effort to leave a review on your GMB page, what do you think Google will think about that?
Google will consider this in their algorithm and that will impact your SEO. Now I’m not an SEO expert, but what I do know is that anything that helps boost you up to page 1 is IMPORTANT!!!
There is no denying it. Video is the future of social media.
We all saw it recently between TikTok viral videos and Instagram’s recent announcement that they are going to from photocentric platform to Photo & Video to become THE entertainment platform.
What kind of videos can help your product-based biz? Without you having to dance and point at words...
· Videos of your product to showcase what they look like.
· Videos of someone HAPPILY using your product.
· How-to videos - using your product correctly, assembling or cleaning.
· Videos to explain the benefits of using your product.
· Videos from customers with their reviews.
When you are sharing your products on social media, you need to be very clear with your messaging. Without saying ‘Buy this now’, tell them WHY your product MUST be a part of their life.
